I don’t know about all of you, but this year has been especially bad for colds, coughs, runny noses, flu’s, and everything else in between. Since both my kiddies are in school and preschool as well as after school activities, they are exposed to different people and germs floating around in every corner and every door handle. Which lucky for me (or not so lucky) I become exposed to and have been sick about 10 times this winter/spring. As soon as I finally feel better… I got sick again! and it felt like it took forever for them to go away! I take everything helpful imaginable: vitamin C, daily multi vitamin, vitmain B12, lots of greens throughout the winter, vitamin D, eat healthy, exercise, sleep 7-8 hours/night and nothing seems to be helping my immune system! As soon as I do feel a cold coming on, this is what I make before, and if I catch it.. during.
This is more of an adult drink. I have tried to trick my boys into trying it, but as soon as they take in the smell of the oregano oil and apple cider vinegar they are not be fooled! This drink is potent, but every ingredient is so beneficial for you when you are sick.
Super Immune System Drink
This super immunity drink isn’t the most lovely tasting drink, but it will kick your colds butt!!
- Juice of one Lemon
- 1 tsp Honey
- 4 drops Oregano Oil
- 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp hot Water
- pinch of Cayenne
- Boil kettle to get hot water.
- Squeeze lemon into a glass.
- Add honey, apple cider vinegar, oregano oil to lemon juice.
- When the water has boiled add in water to glass and lastly the pinch cayenne.
- Stir to combine ingredients.
- Do not sip, drink like a shooter!
